Problem When trying to communicate with external Skype people our Skype for Business Office 365 users were getting the message “This message wasn’t sent to due to company policy” When we tried to add an external contact we would get the message “.or it is outside your organization and is not federated with your company.” Cause My External Sharing rules for Skype in the admin center under Settings => Services & add-ins => Skype for Business were set to allow external sharing. My text says it’s delivered but my friend hasn’t received it. Unfortunately, we can’t always guarantee that the correct delivery message is displayed in Skype. SMS text message delivery reports are usually issued by the recipient's network operator and then forwarded to Skype, so we have no means to verify the validity of the delivery reports we receive. Due to the technical peculiarities of the US market, incorrect delivery status messages may occur more often when sending SMS text messages to US cell phones. We're using an on-premises Skype for Business environment, when Windows or Mac clients try to send a message to a Skype for Business Mac client, the sender usually receives 'We couldn't send this message' while the message is delivered. It probably has something to do with the Mac client not confirming/ not being able to confirm the arrival of the message to the Front-End server. I also noticed that the Skype for Business iOS client states that Push notifications are not supported, while this is enabled on the server. I have checked the Push notification settings and tested if they are correctly working using Test-CsMcxPushNotification, no errors shown there. The Mac client is already installed on a clean installed Mac. Skype for Business Mac client: 16.6.333 Skype for Business server: 6.0.9139.0 Any suggestions?
