If I receive a message on my phone from a coworker, read it, then wish to respond via computer, the message USUALLY DOES NOT SHOW UP ON THE COMPUTER. Pccddd, Audio issues when using Skype for business via Apple car play When in a Skype for business meeting via wired Apple car play, the audio will suddenly drop from car play and the car’s sound system, back to speakerphone on my iPhone X. Everything on the car play touch screen and the iPhone display still indicates that the audio is still going through car play, even though it actually isn’t, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to get it back from the speakerphone to the car play. The last time this happened to me with car play, today, after loading the latest Skype for business update this morning before the meeting, I stayed in the meeting and disconnected from the wired car play and tried to use my air pods, the phone indicated that the audio switched to the air pods, but there was no audio at all. I was able to eventually get the audio to the air pods by putting them back into their case, closing the case, and then taking them out again.
Hi Kev, What kind of deployment do you have? Do you have Skype for business Online or is it an onprem deployment. If it is Online, check if firewall is not blocking traffic and or DNS is setup correctly.

Following the @Buscar advice I used nettop in terminal to monitor Skype connections. After quitting Skype, I see 3 connections still there about 20 seconds after quitting. Two of them use port 443 (status LastAck and FinWait1), the other is on a high port (12k+), status FinWait1. Last one to go away is to blu403-m.hotmail.com:443 with status FinWait1. The following procedure seems to have solved the problem: • Sign out from Skype • Quit Skype and wait until all connections listed in nettop are cleared • Open Skype • Choose 'Sign in with a different account' from the Microsoft ID login screen. • Try to sign in with Skype Name (but fail, since I can't do that anymore after I linked my Skype account to my MS account).

PROBLEM You create a Skype for Business meeting request and send it to an “external user” that is not part of your domain. She already has Skype for Business installed on her computer but she is unable to join the meeting. The reason she is unable to join your meeting is that she is part of a different, non-federated domain and is trying to join a meeting in your domain as an authenticated user.
Opening the meeting in the Skype Web App will provide you will more options for collaboration. However, it requires that you download a plug-in file to enable you to share audio and video, which means you have to have administrator privileges on your computer to install the plug-in file.

The only way I've found to date, to use SfB on anything less than 10.12.x, is to essentially MITM yourself, using a proxy application, such as Charles, which will create its own fake certificate which you must trust, to connect. I was sorely misguided. This app has continued to disappoint repeatedly. I’m currently traveling internationally and simply unable to connect via WiFi (note groupme connects rapidly). It’s comical how bad this app is and I laud the developers who created it for how little they cared. I desire to someday care so little about what I do and yet still have it published for thousands to use. It will be the greatest practica joke of my life.
