Customer service rep says the data was backed up 'wrong' in Quicken 2015 before I installed Quicken 2018. GONE is the accounts window you are used to. It’s now in sidebar and feels odd. Want to have two account windows open at once, one atop the other, checking and a CC for example, nope, not anymore. You can only be working in one account at a time. Pretty much everything you're used to has been erased from this application, and replaced with something else.

Spent an entire month back and forth with customer service. I had to call them every few days to get updates. I was denied 2 days after my 30 day guarantee ran out to return my new quicken. No explanation, just, it's been denied. I have an excellent credit rating, go figure their denying me.

Follow these steps and it should work: Reboot PC, and presss F8 button repeatedly to enter safe mode menu Choose Safe Mode with Networking Support Sign in as usual to PC, as safe mode resets your default settings for display drivers Right click on Computer, choose Properties and then Device Properties Locate graphics card on list (will be under display adaptor) Right click, and 'uninstall'. Well, at least that is the theory and it works well on most modern devices where both the OS and the applications are aware of potentially large(!) variations in pixel densities across many devices. Unfortunately, Windows has a long history and much of it’s applications, even today, are not aware of this. When ultra-high dpi devices (such as the Surface devices) were introduced to the market, things looked pretty ugly – super tiny, overlapping or blurry fonts, buttons, cursors, and other elements. Even the vertical scroll bars were too thin to grab. These are the scaling issues you will be facing on all Windows devices with high dpi screens no matter who built it.

When the lid is closed the secondary monitor acts as it’s the only one available, as with the lid open you would see both monitors’ configurations (this applies to setting the secondary monitor as a clone of the primary one). The worst part is that the system remembers this new resolution for the closed lid situation and it is different from the open lid case. In my case I lost access to the configuration with the lid closed.

This fully fixed the clarity issue. Finally, the external monitor is clear, crisp, and scaled correctly!

Quicken 2017 H&B is frustrating, inaccurate and a waste of money. Quicken used to be great - now its a battle. It interacts with your bank accts - which could be a good thing - but everything that downloads from your accts has to be re-'payeed', recatagorized,, etc.

Well, they got me for $15 and they refuse to give it up. I would stick with them, but I can't stand the nickel and dime attitude and the deceptive practices.

Nothing would unfreeze it. Tried work around with file menu selecting Quicken data file no luck. Finally got it running via safe mode. After boot up noticed the screen fonts very fuzzy on UHD monitor. The two buttons (to do&help) I use frequently have been removed from the bottom left of the account screen. They were conveniently located and did not interfere with display of information.

When running Quicken Premier 2017 (for Windows) on a secondary monitor with a higher resolution than what the main/primary monitor is capable of running at, Quicken cannot display correctly whenever we want to make the application window's size larger than the primary/main monitor's resolution. My main monitor's maximum resolution is 1280x1024 while my two secondary monitors each run at 1920x1200. (This is a Windows 10 Pro computer with all the updates.) I want to use Quicken on one of my secondary monitors, but when I grow the application higher than 1024 pixels (including full screen,) all the content goes away and the application becomes unusable. (The menu still works.) I found multiple threads here referencing the exact same problem going back to Quicken 2014! The workaround is to make the higher resolution display the primary/main monitor. This does indeed work! However, there's a reason I use my lower resolution display as my primary monitor, which means that I cannot use this workaround without messing other things up.

Most major finance software make major interface changes over the years, but Quicken has pretty much remained the same. It is still as buggy as ever and I can never get the bank updates to work consistently over the years.
